A great tool for productivity if you struggle with self motivation like me! I have ADHD and have to fight with my brain everyday to stay on task, but I got stuff to do! So I'm always looking to add more tools to the productivity toolkit. I see a lot of reviews about this being a game, so I wanted to add a review about this being a tool for my fellow distracted busy bees out there! Tools: - There are just enough tools to help get you going with getting tasks done. There's not so many that it's overwhelming and will give you descion paralysis, but enough to help you set some goals for the day. - I already have a planner system for organising tasks, but taking what I plan for the day and adding it in game helps set intentions for what I want from a session. Because you can't use the tools outwith the game, I wouldn't rely on it to plan everything. - I don't use the habit tracker and journal, but having them means you could create your whole productivity system in game if you wanted. But if you have my flavour of ADHD and forget things you can't see, having a planner open on your desk that you can't avoid, or setting phone reminders is a much more reliable way of staying on task. - You can add categories for to do lists, I always have one for study tasks and housework. It doesn't pester you to complete tasks, they can sit there for days if you want them to, and you're not punished for not completing them. You are rewarded though if you do complete them! Because with ADHD we can have problems starting tasks, knowing we could be made to feel bad for not completing a task can be enough to make us avoid it altogether! - The timers are the bees knees. There's a very flexible pomodoro timer, a regular timer and a stopwatch. I'm very time blind, so these are really powerful tools for me! For example I can time how long a new task takes me, like how long does it take me to answer a weekly study quiz? I could make a note of that in the journal to refer back to, so now I have an estimate of how much time I need to allow for that the next week. Game changer! - There's a focus tracker, so you can see how much you actually get done. It's also great for accountability! And you feel great looking back at how much you can do! Sounds - You can set up whatever background noise you need or want for the day. Add rain noises and you'll see rain outside! Very atmospheric! You can also set the time of day, so you can set a different vibe every day if you want! This keeps the new and novel feeling rolling every time I open the game. - The radio is also amazing. There's loads of lo-fi albums ready to go that you can make playlists from, or you can add an external source which I haven't tried. I often turn it all off and use binural beats on days I need that extra push, so having the flexibility is great. FOR THE DEVS - My only complaint is that the timer and stopwatch doesn't add to the graph. Pomodoro is an amazing tool, but for me sometimes I just need to see how much I can get done on a bad day, so I set the stopwatch. Any time I bank with the stopwatch to me is an achievement and should absolutely be counted as focus time. Sorry for the waffle, hopefully this helps someone out there looking for a productivity tool! Whatever you're trying to achieve, you got this!

This game is amazing. Granted, more of a study help than a game. But it has been a big help to me. I am at college right now, and some of the sounds remind me of home while i am studying or reading. I do wish there was frog sounds. One of my favorite things to do back home is listen to the frogs at night. Especially when it rains. Its so beautiful and soothing. Idk what kind of frogs they were, as I never got to actually see them, but to be able to hear them again while I am so far from home would be wonderful.

I used to play a bunch of lofi music session in youtube when i was at school and work + matched with rain background noise, spotify wasnt an option at that time. So the moment i saw this cozy and cute productivity app i knew i needed it immediately. You get to decorate your own space, set up whatever activity you're doing + the ambiance noises (very important). Now do i use it for productivity? Not really lol! I'm mostly here to collect all the adorable spirit pets. I leave it running on my TV in the background while i work, especially when i'm overwhelmed or overstimulated with social media.

Such a good game for studying, i always treat myself and redecorate or something while taking a break

First, the artificial replayability. You basically have to just sit and do nothing in the game while it runs in the background. You watch YouTube or play on your phone, waiting for the pet you want to show up, which can take anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half. Second, there aren’t that many pets or character actions (like knitting or playing on a console). I wouldn’t say there are very few, but it’s not exactly a huge abundance either. A great tool for productivity if you struggle with self motivation like me! I have ADHD and have to fight with my brain everyday to stay on task, but I got stuff to do! So I'm always looking to add more tools to the productivity toolkit. I see a lot of reviews about this being a game, so I wanted to add a review about this being a tool for my fellow distracted busy bees out there! Tools: - There are just enough tools to help get you going with getting tasks done. There's not so many that it's overwhelming and will give you descion paralysis, but enough to help you set some goals for the day. - I already have a planner system for organising tasks, but taking what I plan for the day and adding it in game helps set intentions for what I want from a session. Because you can't use the tools outwith the game, I wouldn't rely on it to plan everything. - I don't use the habit tracker and journal, but having them means you could create your whole productivity system in game if you wanted. But if you have my flavour of ADHD and forget things you can't see, having a planner open on your desk that you can't avoid, or setting phone reminders is a much more reliable way of staying on task. - You can add categories for to do lists, I always have one for study tasks and housework. It doesn't pester you to complete tasks, they can sit there for days if you want them to, and you're not punished for not completing them. You are rewarded though if you do complete them! Because with ADHD we can have problems starting tasks, knowing we could be made to feel bad for not completing a task can be enough to make us avoid it altogether! - The timers are the bees knees. There's a very flexible pomodoro timer, a regular timer and a stopwatch. I'm very time blind, so these are really powerful tools for me! For example I can time how long a new task takes me, like how long does it take me to answer a weekly study quiz? I could make a note of that in the journal to refer back to, so now I have an estimate of how much time I need to allow for that the next week. Game changer! - There's a focus tracker, so you can see how much you actually get done. It's also great for accountability! And you feel great looking back at how much you can do! Sounds - You can set up whatever background noise you need or want for the day. Add rain noises and you'll see rain outside! Very atmospheric! You can also set the time of day, so you can set a different vibe every day if you want! This keeps the new and novel feeling rolling every time I open the game. - The radio is also amazing. There's loads of lo-fi albums ready to go that you can make playlists from, or you can add an external source which I haven't tried. I often turn it all off and use binural beats on days I need that extra push, so having the flexibility is great. FOR THE DEVS - My only complaint is that the timer and stopwatch doesn't add to the graph. Pomodoro is an amazing tool, but for me sometimes I just need to see how much I can get done on a bad day, so I set the stopwatch. Any time I bank with the stopwatch to me is an achievement and should absolutely be counted as focus time. Grade für Menschen die sich vielleicht oft allein fühlen ist das eine tolle Sache. <3 Durch dieses Spiel hast wirklich mal eine andere Möglichkeit bei dir zu sein und deinen Alltag zu vergessen. This game is amazing. Granted, more of a study help than a game. But it has been a big help to me. I am at college right now, and some of the sounds remind me of home while i am studying or reading. I do wish there was frog sounds. One of my favorite things to do back home is listen to the frogs at night. Especially when it rains. Its so beautiful and soothing. Idk what kind of frogs they were, as I never got to actually see them, but to be able to hear them again while I am so far from home would be wonderful.

I used to play a bunch of lofi music session in youtube when i was at school and work + matched with rain background noise, spotify wasnt an option at that time. So the moment i saw this cozy and cute productivity app i knew i needed it immediately. You get to decorate your own space, set up whatever activity you're doing + the ambiance noises (very important). Now do i use it for productivity? Not really lol! I'm mostly here to collect all the adorable spirit pets. I leave it running on my TV in the background while i work, especially when i'm overwhelmed or overstimulated with social media.

Such a good game for studying, i always treat myself and redecorate or something while taking a break

You watch YouTube or play on your phone, waiting for the pet you want to show up, which can take anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half. Second, there aren’t that many pets or character actions (like knitting or playing on a console). I wouldn’t say there are very few, but it’s not exactly a huge abundance either. This game is amazing. Granted, more of a study help than a game. But it has been a big help to me. I am at college right now, and some of the sounds remind me of home while i am studying or reading. I do wish there was frog sounds. One of my favorite things to do back home is listen to the frogs at night. Especially when it rains. Its so beautiful and soothing. Idk what kind of frogs they were, as I never got to actually see them, but to be able to hear them again while I am so far from home would be wonderful.

I used to play a bunch of lofi music session in youtube when i was at school and work + matched with rain background noise, spotify wasnt an option at that time. So the moment i saw this cozy and cute productivity app i knew i needed it immediately. You get to decorate your own space, set up whatever activity you're doing + the ambiance noises (very important). Now do i use it for productivity? Not really lol! I'm mostly here to collect all the adorable spirit pets. I leave it running on my TV in the background while i work, especially when i'm overwhelmed or overstimulated with social media.

Such a good game for studying, i always treat myself and redecorate or something while taking a break

I never thought the "Pomodore"-Tactic would work for me. I get distracted easily, especially if I don't wanna to a certain task. But this game somehow got my brain to focus and be motivated to finally do the stuff I need to do. Be it work or daily tasks e.g. in the house.

Acho que é isso que eu mais gosto, como tudo é personalizável, desde as roupas, cores, ambiente... tudo numa pegada tão aconchegante que me deixa ainda mais inspirada para estudar ou fazer qualquer outra tarefa. Curto muito estudar com ele rodando, amo o lofi e os sons ambientes e a ambientação, tudo é muito bem feito. Deveria ter ganhado mais prêmios, pq realmente merece. As atualizações são boas e as dlc acrescentam muito na experiencia. Eu curti demais e recomendo MUITO se você quer algo totalmente personalizável e com uma ótima visualização.

Whenever the game is running, it requires my laptop to be always plugged in and the fans are always whirring. It would be nice if I could run the game somewhere away from a plug socket and place my laptop on my legs without setting my jeans on fire. The other reason Spirit City: Lofi Sessions isn't the best for productivity is the very same reason people, including me, love it. It is gamified and it is highly customisable. Between the base game, both released DLC and the upcoming garden DLC, there are a lot of spirits to discover. Who could resist collecting them all? And you can customise your character, your surroundings, the items your character interacts with like their laptop, you can choose a location and activity, choose a spirit companion, customise your spirit companion, and choose your playlist and soundscape. And you have multiple presets so you can do that five times over! Spending time on this is utterly lovely but it probably doesn't count as productivity... [b] Why is it the best self-care tool? [/b] Well, all that customisation makes it feel like you're entering your very own safe space. Everything is just as you want it and your favourite spirit companion is there waiting for you whenever you start up the game <3 I love the spirits, especially Kettlebrew! I love their companionship, reading about them in the spiritdex and I love the background story of being an aspiring spiritographer who has travelled to the big city to study them. The home you've made yours that is filled with adorable spirits creates a setting that makes it feel like the practical features of the game are supporting you rather than pushing. There is a to-do list, a timer, a habit tracker and a journal. In the morning, or the evening before, I can write my to-do list for the day ahead so that I can move forward with a sense of direction. The timer nudges me to work just a little longer and push through to the break. Equally, it's good to have a prompt to take breaks! The habits list offers a no-pressure reminder to complete those small daily tasks that are important to me. The journal is just what I need when I'm getting overwhelmed. This has single handedly changed my productivity and motivation. I love achievements and the outfits and such are so fun to customize before locking in on assignments. Love love love. A great tool for productivity if you struggle with self motivation like me! I have ADHD and have to fight with my brain everyday to stay on task, but I got stuff to do! So I'm always looking to add more tools to the productivity toolkit. I see a lot of reviews about this being a game, so I wanted to add a review about this being a tool for my fellow distracted busy bees out there! Tools: - There are just enough tools to help get you going with getting tasks done. There's not so many that it's overwhelming and will give you descion paralysis, but enough to help you set some goals for the day. - I already have a planner system for organising tasks, but taking what I plan for the day and adding it in game helps set intentions for what I want from a session. Because you can't use the tools outwith the game, I wouldn't rely on it to plan everything. - I don't use the habit tracker and journal, but having them means you could create your whole productivity system in game if you wanted. But if you have my flavour of ADHD and forget things you can't see, having a planner open on your desk that you can't avoid, or setting phone reminders is a much more reliable way of staying on task. - You can add categories for to do lists, I always have one for study tasks and housework. It doesn't pester you to complete tasks, they can sit there for days if you want them to, and you're not punished for not completing them. You are rewarded though if you do complete them! Because with ADHD we can have problems starting tasks, knowing we could be made to feel bad for not completing a task can be enough to make us avoid it altogether! - The timers are the bees knees. There's a very flexible pomodoro timer, a regular timer and a stopwatch. I'm very time blind, so these are really powerful tools for me! For example I can time how long a new task takes me, like how long does it take me to answer a weekly study quiz? I could make a note of that in the journal to refer back to, so now I have an estimate of how much time I need to allow for that the next week. Game changer! - There's a focus tracker, so you can see how much you actually get done. It's also great for accountability! And you feel great looking back at how much you can do! Sounds - You can set up whatever background noise you need or want for the day. Add rain noises and you'll see rain outside! Very atmospheric! You can also set the time of day, so you can set a different vibe every day if you want! This keeps the new and novel feeling rolling every time I open the game. - The radio is also amazing. There's loads of lo-fi albums ready to go that you can make playlists from, or you can add an external source which I haven't tried. I often turn it all off and use binural beats on days I need that extra push, so having the flexibility is great. FOR THE DEVS - My only complaint is that the timer and stopwatch doesn't add to the graph. Pomodoro is an amazing tool, but for me sometimes I just need to see how much I can get done on a bad day, so I set the stopwatch. Any time I bank with the stopwatch to me is an achievement and should absolutely be counted as focus time. Sorry for the waffle, hopefully this helps someone out there looking for a productivity tool! Whatever you're trying to achieve, you got this!
